A smear test (also known as a cervical screening test), is used to detect certain subtypes of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) that can cause changes to the cervical cells, as well as check whether there are any abnormal cervical cells (dyskaryosis) which need treating before they become cancerous. The earlier these cells are found, the better chance you have of a positive outcome.
The CA-125 test looks for certain proteins in your blood. Ovarian cancer can be the reason for high levels of these proteins, but other conditions can cause them to be raised as well.
This test can be added during your appointment as advised by the doctor.

The first steps in understanding and taking control of your health.
Factors such as increased stress, lack of time for physical exercise and unhealthy diet are major contributors to illness. Lifestyle diseases can remain ‘unseen’ and can harm our body without causing any symptoms.
Our preventive Whole Health Checks play an important role in screening for these diseases. They can identify lifestyle changes to reduce your risk of developing major diseases like cardiovascular disease, cancer, and Type 2 diabetes.
